At the end of each academic year, faculty are asked to engage in ongoing assessment
on how each program is performing in outcome acheivement.
Requests for Assessment Day 2025
Task One: Assessment
- Review your degrees, program outcomes, and program assessment plan below to familiarize
yourself with the work your department did last year.
- Gather the artifacts needed for the assessment activities. In the there is a folder
for the current academic year; you can use this as an artifact repository.
- Please include artifacts from all modalities of teaching and compare assessment results
between modalities where necessary.
- Following the assessment work, analyze and reflect on the results. Create a page to
post your analysis and reflection for this prior year. Title the page [Year]-[Year]
Program Reflection. On the page you should have the following sections: Assessment
Results, Reflection on Results, and Next Steps.
- Send the link for the results document to Vance Larsen, Faculty Fellow for Assessment.
Task Two: Program Communication
- Review your program pageLinks to an external site. to identify any changes that are
needed. Pay special attention to any pathways or suggested programs of study, making
sure they reflect the aligned technical education program (TEXX prefixes) or the new
GE requirements (no Foundations, GE labs, or Integrated Exploration classes). Email
Associate Provost David Allred with any needed changes.
- Review your department webpageLinks to an external site. to identify and changes that
are needed. Pay special attention to any information that lists program requirements
or pathways. To ensure that we have accurate and easy-to-update information, link
to the program page for program information (we also have asset-based web design options).

- For AAS, APE, ASN, ASB, BS, and BM programs: review the R401 for your degree to identify
any needed requirement changes that have arisen because of technical education alignment
or the new GE program. Email Associate Provost David Allred with any needed changes.
