Badgers in a Bathtub is a comedy improvisation tour troupe. The intention of this class is to develop and strengthen skills in improvisation as well as having performances on-campus and off-campus. This is a class and will require registration after auditions. Please make sure you have room in your schedule.
Any Current Snow College students are welcome to audition.
Auditions
For those cast, class will take place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-10:45am
Performances will take place Select Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm (Notice for all performances will be given) Additional performances will take place remotely throughout the semester. Excuse letters will be provided if these performances interfere with class time.

An accompanist will be provided, please do not sing to a track or acapella. If you wish to only be considered for specific productions (rather than all productions), you will be able to indicate so on your audition form. Please sign up for an audition slot on the sign-up sheet, which is located on the Call Board in the Theater Department.
You will check in for your audition at the Stage Management table, located in the lobby of the Kim Christison Theater. Make sure to arrive at least 20 minutes before your audition slot so you have adequate time to check in, warm up, and be ready to enter the audition space. Please note; audition timing tends to ebb and flow, sometimes we get ahead, sometimes we run behind. So long as you are present and prepared for the time slot you signed up for; you will be ok. Showing up late or unprepared will affect your castability.

A more detailed Callback schedule will be released to participants at the time the callback list is posted. Ideally, the list will be posted the morning of September 1st.
Anyone cast in A Year with Frog and Toad may be called to a first rehearsal on Wednesday, September 2nd, 6 - 10 pm. Stage Management will communicate that call with the cast at the time the cast list is posted.
Romeo and Juliet
**The Director reserves the right to adjust or changes to the roles listed based on need and audition outcomes**
• Romeo Montague – Son of Lord and Lady Montague. Romeo is emotional, romantic, and
impulsive. He falls deeply in love with Juliet even though their families are enemies.
• Juliet Capulet – Daughter of Lady Capulet. Juliet is intelligent, loyal, and courageous.
She falls in love with Romeo and is willing to go against her family to be with him.
• Mercutio – Mercutio will be gender swapped in our production. A relative of the
Prince and Paris, she is close friends with Benvolio and Romeo even though she has
a past romantic history with Tybalt. She is witty, energetic, and often makes jokes.
Her death during a fight with Tybalt becomes a major turning point in the play.
• Benvolio – Romeo’s cousin and friend. He is peaceful and reasonable and often tries
to stop conflicts between the Montagues and Capulets.
• Tybalt Capulet – Juliet’s cousin. He is aggressive, hot-tempered, and extremely
loyal to the Capulet family. He hates the Montagues and frequently looks for opportunities
to fight them.
• The Nurse – Juliet’s caretaker and one of the people closest to her. She is talkative,
caring, and humorous. At first, she helps Juliet communicate with Romeo and supports
their relationship.
• Friar Laurence – A priest and trusted adviser to Romeo and Juliet. He secretly marries
them because he hopes their marriage will end the feud between their families. He
later creates the risky plan involving Juliet’s sleeping potion. Could be cast male
or female.
• Lady Capulet – The roles of Lord and Lady Capulet have been merged together in our
production. Juliet’s mother and head of the Capulet family. She loves Juliet but can
be controlling and quick-tempered. She wants Juliet to marry Paris.
• Lord Montague – The roles of Lord and Lady Monague have been merged together in
our production. Romeo’s father and head of the Montague family. He is involved in
the long-running feud with the Capulets but is concerned about Romeo’s happiness.
He cares deeply about Romeo and worries about his involvement in the family conflict.
• Paris – A kinsman of the Prince and Mercutio who wants to marry Juliet. Lady Capulet
approves of him, but Juliet does not love him because she is already secretly married
to Romeo.
• Prince Escalus – The ruler of Verona. He tries to keep peace between the Montagues
and Capulets and punishes those who continue the violence. Paris and Mercutio are
his kinsman.
• Friar John – A fellow friar who is supposed to deliver an important message to Romeo
explaining Juliet’s fake death. He is unable to deliver it, which contributes to the
tragic ending.
• Gregory – Servant of the Capulet family who appear at the beginning of the play.
Their argument with Montague servants helps show how deeply the family feud affects
everyone around them.
• Abram Balthasar – The characters Abram and Balthasar have been combined into one
person in this production. Romeo’s servant. He is part of the skirmish at the top
of the show and also goes with Romeo when he is banished. He tells Romeo that Juliet
appears to be dead, not knowing that her death has been faked. This causes Romeo to
return to Verona and make a tragic decision.
• Peter Sampson – The characters Peter and Sampson have have been combined into one
person in this production. Servant of the Capulet family who appears at the beginning
in the play. Their argument with Montague servants helps show how deeply the family
feud affects everyone around them. He is also the escort of the Nurse from time to
time. He is more bark than bit.
• Apothecary – The fated apothecary who relucent provides Romeo with the poison that
will end his life.
