Jason is an actor, singer, director, and educator from Holladay, Utah. He received his BFA in Theatre Education with a minor in Spanish Education from Utah State University in 2013 and an MFA in acting from Indiana University in 2017. While in Indiana Jason competed in the National Society of Arts and Letter's musical theatre competition where he was awarded its top honor, the Mrs. Granville Well's Memorial Award.
Jason has been performing professionally for the last 20 years in classical, musical, and contemporary productions. He is a Certified Actor Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors as well as a Designated Meisner Teacher with the Meisner Institute.
As an educator Jason worked for the Utah Festival Opera and Musical Theatre Company in both their summer-time Broadway Bound program and their year-round Conservatory. He was also employed by the Utah Children's Theatre in Salt Lake City as an instructor, director, playwright, and actor. During his time as an MFA Acting Candidate in Indiana, he was employed as an Associate Instructor, teaching a variety of undergraduate acting classes.
From 2017 to 2025, Jason lived in Dallas, Texas where he was the Theatre Arts Teacher at Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep. During that time, he was also an active actor, director, and educator in the DFW theatre community.
After 11 years of living outside of Utah, Jason is excited to be back home and is eager to bring his incredible passion and love for theatre to the community of Ephraim.
