Dance Scholarship & Dance Company Auditions for 2026-2027

As a member of the Snow Dance Company, dancers are expected to enroll in one modern dance class during the fall semester. This course helps strengthen technique, expand movement vocabulary, and provide a strong foundation for company rehearsals and performances. To remain in good standing, dancers must maintain at least a B grade in the class, demonstrating both commitment and academic responsibility. Company rehearsals are scheduled during regular weekly class times, allowing dancers to consistently build ensemble work, learn choreography, and refine their artistry without adding extra time outside of the established class schedule.

In-Person Audition

December 6, 2025, 11:00am - 1:00pm, Snow College Horne Activity Center (Dance Studio AC 100)

Audition will include:

a small ballet-based class
contemporary dance phase work
improvisational exercises
an interview

Please wear appropriate movement-based clothing and footwear. No black soled shoes on the dance room floor please.

Early Audition - Video Submission

Please include two videos:
- In the first video we would like to get to know you better. Talk about your love of dance, your favorite teachers, your favorite performances as well as your dreams and aspirations related to movement. Express your interests you're pursuing and how they influence your movement practice. Explain what aspects of dance you are interested in pursuing at the college level
- In the second video we would love to see you move. While technique is important to us, what we value most is your individuality. Please submit a recording of your dancing that showcases both your training and creativity. The material should be self choreographed.
Each video should be 90 seconds to 270 seconds long.
Please include your phone number when you submit your links. Upon viewing your submissions, we will schedule a follow up zoom interview in order to share with you more information about our program and answer any of your questions.
Videos should be submitted as a shareable Google doc. or through a video link (Youtube)
