Snow Ballroom Company

Snow College’s Ballroom Dance Program is a great opportunity and experience. We offer several classes from novice through intermediate and from Social to International Latin and Standard styles. Robert Cox teaches the fundamentals for anyone just getting started or with some experience and wanting to improve their skills. These classes offer the chance to socialize with other dancers both in class and in the labs.

Our Ballroom Dance Company is a class and performing group all in one. We host social activities and practice labs where dancers can break away from the rigors of college life and relax with fellow dancers. A lot of individual attention is focused on our dancers to help them improve and to perform dynamically. We sometimes perform multiple smaller shows, but the real opportunity is our Dance Concert each semester, where we combine with the Dance Ensemble to provide a wonderful evening of dance, showcasing student choreography, guest works, and more.

For our students interested in the technique of ballroom dancing or who want to further improve their skill Robert Cox teaches classes for all levels. Students who are in the Ballroom Dance Company are required to  a technique class to hone and maintain their skills. These classes offer a chance to break down the essential movements of ballroom dance as well as learn about the culture of it. Topics range from international dance standards to available careers in ballroom dance. Students who take these classes will feel ready to continue on in their dancing after Snow College
